Swedish Fiction for Young Readers

Swedish children’s fiction has a special kind of magic. Whether tranquil or wild, rooted in reality or bursting the bounds of the imagination, it nearly always strikes the same fundamental note: a profound respect for children as thinking people. In this publication, we want to open a window on this very Swedish tradition, showcasing both new titles as well as older stories that still speak powerfully to young readers. These books deserve an international audience, and we hope they will find new readers far beyond Sweden’s borders.
